Loft kits are a rental option available to students housed in »¨¼¾´«Ã½’s Residence Halls. The addition of a loft kits maximizes space in the room by raising the height of the bed. Home built and/or loft kits not rented from the University are not permitted.
- The University has a significant, but limited number of loft kits that may be reserved for use during the school year. These loft kits are available on a first come, first served basis.
- Please understand that filling out and sending the form does not guarantee that you will receive a loft kit.
- Loft kits are available in Mason (most), Lucy, Humbert, Longden & Bishop Roberts. The beds are unable to be lofted in Rector Village, Vernon Jordan, UOAHs, Bloomington St. Hall and a few exceptions in Mason Hall.
LOft Kits
If you would like to request a loft kit, please go to your e-services portal homepage > Facilities Management > Submit a Request. Here you will be able to select your exact building and space, as well as Furniture/Loft Kit Request.
To return your loft kit, submit a request on e-services.
- You should not give your unwanted loft kit or parts of the kit to other students. Also, the Loft kit part should not be put in the hallway. The loft has been checked out in your name, and you are responsible for seeing it returned to the Custodial Department. Once you have received the loft kit, you are held responsible for it.
Facilities Management will contact you if there are any problems once you have submitted your request.
Ladder Request
If you would like to request a ladder, please go to your e-services portal home page > Facilities Management - Submit a Request. Here you will be able to select your exact building and space, as well as Ladder Request.
You will not get a ladder unless you request one as the bed ends can be used as a ladder.
