Bio:

Scott Wilkerson is coauthor – with Beth Wilkerson – of the Geotours Workbook. He will be on sabbatical in fall 2015 to develop a second edition of the book, which is used in a course that he teaches, "Map Interpretation." He also is working on a book in which he uses Google Earth to teach map interpretation. He focuses his research on mountain belts, folded rock layers in mountains, and he uses Google Earth to research and teach 2-D and 3-D fault-related folds. Wilkerson has a research fellowship through which he is combining traditional maps with Google Earth to create 3-D maps for teaching. Wilkerson was a research scientist and involved in oil exploration for Exxon for three and a half years.
