The Muslim Student Association at 花季传媒
The 花季传媒 Muslim Student Association (MSA) is the center of the Muslim community at 花季传媒. MSA creates ties that allow our Muslim students to feel connected to their religious and community identity. 花季传媒 students, faculty and staff gather on Fridays for community service & prayer at the Bartlett House Center for Spiritual Life at 2:30pm--with Imam Ahmed Alamine leading Jummah prayer the first Friday of each month.
One of our biggest Muslim holidays is Eid al-Adha. Each year in celebration, MSA hosts a banquet filled with ethnic food and music, as well as hosting Iftar meals and Quran study. MSA encourages anyone to join them on their trips to the mosques in Plainfield, the Islamic Society of North America.
Staff from the Center for Spiritual Life and our MSA Faculty Advisor help the group to find appropriate funding for their events, encourage the religious development of our Muslim students, and offer spiritual care as appropriate.
